An Invitation to Group Mentor Coaching with Dr. Ira Dressner The Opportunity -- Group Mentor coaching Toward Your ICF Credential:
THE CRITERIA & YOUR INVESTMENT
If you are interested in investing a nominal amount in your professional development as a coach, then take advantage of this opportunity to obtain 3 of the 10 required mentor coaching hours needed to obtain your certification (or get to the next level of certification), please note the following criteria for participation:
You must be an active (paid) ICF member (2010; confirmed prior to the March meeting)
You must be an active (paid) TPCA member (current/2010)
You must commit to attending all 3 of the TPCA meetings (March, June and Sept) when the group mentor coaching will be held
You must be willing to make a $25 contribution per group meeting ($75 one-time only payment at registration) to the TPCA to cover expenses and use of the space (the group coaching meetings will last for 1 hour and be conducted immediately following the conclusion of each of the three regular monthly meetings, from 1:15-2:15 p.m.)
You hold the intention of pursuing ICF credentialing (ACC or PCC) in this calendar year
In addition to teaching us the core competencies at these meetings, Dr. Dressner will demonstrate them in use, allow participants to coach him with an emphasis on these competencies, and provide feedback from the assessor’s point of view. As always, there will be opportunities for interaction and Q&A. Then, after EACH of these regularly scheduled meetings, Ira has agreed to DONATE his services to provide ICF core competency group mentor coaching to 8-10 qualified members interested in obtaining some of the additional training and feedback required to pursue their credential. This represents a market value of $600/participant, for a total of $6,000 contribution to our chapter members, offered at no charge to our coaching community by Ira, a veteran and distinguished coach and ICF Assessor.
Reminder: The credentialing criteria for each of the three levels (ACC, PCC, MCC) can be found on the ICF website at http://www.coachfederation.org. A copy will also be sent in next month's Chapter announcements. In addition to the list of requirements by credential, each of these requires 10 hours of mentor coaching, a portion of which can be obtained in a group setting. Many coaches report that this is often the element in the credentialing process that gets in the way of completing the pursuit of ICF credentialing. Fees just for this purpose can easily exceed $2,000, so Ira’s offer is generous and unique.
